What a long weekend at Labor-Day camping weekend! I had pretty bad day on Friday, because my car broke down and tow my car two times! I am going to tell you a long story what happened to my car, so bear with me for my grammars. :-P
I left my house and drove my car, which I was supposed to pick my classmate friend from WPSD, Jennifer DePaolis at her office work in late afternoon and somehow, my car died down just few miles from her work. Since I cannot use cell phone due my deafness, I walked down to Pittsburgh steel plant, and asked the gate to use the phone to call Triple A and my dad about my car situation. Also, I used my sidekick pager to inform Jennifer to delay the situation. Then, I waited least an hour for tow truck to come, and checked what’s wrong with my car. The man found out that there was a battery problem, so he suggested that it needs to be replaced. It is really hard for me to appreciate, so I say, ‘go ahead’. He towed my car to Wal-Mart Super center, waited for few hours to get it done. Jennifer’s friend dropped Jennifer off there, and joined in my car and ready to go camping.
When I was on PA turnpike, and yet, there was another sign red light warning on battery around 9pm, so we decided to change the plan B. We refused to surrender to take a trip to camping. We decided to go Jennifer parent’s house in Hopewell, PA, just 30 minutes drive west from Pittsburgh for asking her parents to borrow or take a ride to camping. We drove pretty carefully, and somehow, my car died in parking lot between PNC Park and Heinz Field in downtown Pittsburgh. We asked the strangers in the car to use cell phone, and call Triple A again, to tow my car to nearby auto shop. As I learned myself that it might be battery alternator problem. I tried to contact my friends in AIM buddy list through sidekcik, most of my friends weren’t home on Friday night, and we were out of luck. We walked down to ‘76’ gas station, to ask the worker to call my dad through cell phone. Luckily, my dad came in 15 minutes later, because he and his wife were in downtown. My dad came, pick us up and took us to Jennifer’s parents home at 11pm. We decided to stay one more night at Jennifer parents’ house.
The next day, Jennifer’s parents drop us off at camping on Saturday afternoon. Her boyfriend, Jeff Hawk who lives in camping worried us. We made it, oh well. What a long, difficult day for us!
We had a blast time at camping for Labor Day weekend. We rode my friend’s yellow jeep in off-road, rode ATV, drank alcoholic beer near campfire at nighttime, played Pass-Out board game and ate hot dogs, pizza sandwiches, s’mores and chips. The weather is calm and warm on Saturday and Sunday until the rain started on Sunday night, it never stops till we left camping in the morning today.
