I received the letter from tenant at my apartments; it stated:

"You are one of our 'Early Bird Winners' for May! For paying your rent early, you won $25.00 gift card for Giant Eagle. Enjoy!"

Giant Eagle is a largest grocery store in western Pennsylvania.)

Paying bills through mail and online early is a good thing and you might never expect that something good will happen!

I AM DEAF. I NEED TO HAVE FOR RIDES.

My deaf friend wrote his simple and short sentences in the paper to show the staff at guest service near main entrance in Busch Gardens Europe (in Williamsburg, VA), one of most beautiful theme park in the world.

He is going to try to convict the guest service to allow us to cut the queue line times, go through exit door from train station to take a ride on roller coaster in no time. Think of handicap as deaf. The guest service said OK, gave the special permission of note to him. Whoo, it worked! We made cut the queue line on seven different rides in less than two hours.

I asked my friend if he have done with this in different amusement park. That is what he has been done before: Cedar Point - NO. Kennywood - NO. Hershey Park - YES. Hmm, I will take a note myself that I can be deaf and dumb when I go gu>est service in Hershey Park sometime in future.

Also my friend asked the guest service to request the ASL (American Sign Language) interpreter for show times, and the staff said "Did you call to make an appointment?" He said no. Also we learned that we need make a request for appointment to call 48 hours before (?) for no cost. Yes, you heard it - it's free!

Here is the treat for your time: We caught the guy pointing the middle finger on us while riding the front train in Loch Ness Monster (To view larger picture, you need to be Flickr member to view).

Today I went to see the open house for Sorenson VRS offices in Pittsburgh, PA to hire more interpreters to bring more productive the time with video relay service (VRS) through Sorenson videophone.

The people at Sorenson said not allowed taking any pictures inside Sorenson offices. Dang.

I toured around Sorenson small office, there are eight office cubes (not room). Each cube has VP-200 hidden beneath above the television and under the wooden shelf. Sadly, they are not allowed to show or touch VP-200 (physical full 360 view, inside and out.) It's even more sad that I can't see more detalis about VP-200.

I asked a question the Sorenson interpreter about the salary difference between interpreter (travel to meeting, activities, etc.) and its interpreter relay service. The interpreter woman said SAME. Hmm, does she tell her truthfully?

The verdict is in: Dr. Jane Fernandes will be 9th president of Gallaudet University.

Now the ugly news: Gallaudet deaf students weren't pleased with this result, and they roared to bring the Better President Now, or BPN. They complained the Board of Trustees didn't involve into campus community or lack of racial diversity.

Speaking of link dump: Ridor is extremely actively involved his blog story, and Elisa has an excellent reporting her blog story including the pictures and movie clips. Grant Laird, Jr. dump the dozens of links in his blog entry. The site is overcrowded with responders, and Washington Post wrote their article.

Is this kind of protest that is similar copycat to rich deaf history, DPN - Deaf President Now in 1988? If the deaf continue protest, will this become national news in next few days? Don't think so.

Around 1 a.m. last night, I went Flickr's PAD Deaf Club photos page, selected 17 photos to order the prints through Target location nearby my home. The receipt from Flickr site said it cost around $5 dollars (includes service cost).

I went Target store today with my proof printed receipt, and I never expected that Target also offer $1.40 off (and no service cost??) for orders and price difference, and the final sale is $1.05.

$1.05 for seventeen printed pictures! Sweet.

We are just surprised and speechless. I got a headache right now. Introducing Nintendo Wii. This is Nintendo's fifth video game system, codenamed Revolution. [Rimshot] Get used to this. Remember DS we don't like the two-letter word when it was announced.

Also remember, nobody liked the controller when it was first unveiled.

Also the interesting part about people's comments on Slashdot and Digg, they are complaining about the name, and the relative lack of power.

But really, Wii is just a name, and the system won't rock any less, or more because of it. It is solely a marketing decision... and will probably play a lot better to non-gamers, just what Nintendo succeed DS.

Imagine with verbal jokes with so many opportunities: Mom! Billy won't let me play with his Wii!

Remember, this is not bleated April Fool's!

I read my old college friend's blog about the story of ripping off not getting any rebates for Sidekick II from e-commerce site, Fusewireless.

Thanks to her, I learned the lesson about this, the rest is history - this company looks bad, and I might tell Deaf folks not suggest to go Fusewireless website for the special offer for Sidekick II.

Other than Fusewireless.com, should I trust the other deaf owned website for selling gadgets? Hardly.

Two years ago, I developed DeBee Communications for re-design their web site. I also worked closely with Boundless Communications as disturbitor for setting up the e-commerce forms on DeBee website.

One time, the man who owns Boundless Communications told me to he is going to put DeBee products on their e commerce website to support. He didn't give much more details about this.

Few months later, I curiously surf Boundless Communications website, and looked the video section, and I was shocked - this content layout are very same to my DeBee Communications content layout design! It was obliviously for him taking images and HTML codes without knowledge.

Boundless never asked me for my content design for this. It really turned me off that I looked other Boundless pages - these poorly quality of interface design, broken links, and unfinished pages.

Should I trust deaf-owned e commerce websites? I will not buy these.

Yesterday, I went first annual ASL picnic hosted by our local community college and GPCCD to fundraiser for women's softball team, to share the fun with general culture for Deaf and hearing. We ate unlimited foods, played games (bocce and Texas Hold'em), and no alcohol (very few of them did BYOB).

The weather was wet, dumpy and very muddy. I posted few pictures of my personal favorites in my Flickr, and the rest of them in Flickr PAD gallery. As first time I saw two monitors connected to single computer at my old college computer lab, I tried this out for my project homework, and I fell in love with this. I can have more productive with my projects, multitasking on the applications (three screen programs separate in same desktop.)

This is my dream list I want to have this, but the problem it comes pricey that I need powerful graphics, additional monitor and more memory. My estimate this could bring <s>almost $1,000</s> between $500 and $700.

A recent New York Times article, adding an extra monitor will give your output a considerable boost - 20 percent to 30 precent. Additionally, Microsoft Research shows that a larger screen can improve productivity nearly 44 percent.

It's funny because it's true.

Nintendo is now the most profitable video game entertainment system over Sony (PS2, PSP) and Microsoft (Xbox, X360) today. Sony and Microsoft are losing their profits from their home system / portable sold in first few years because they were very expensive to produce from the factory and try to meet the customer satisfaction for the price. But in opposite side of Nintendo, they earn profits from selling first few years of Nintendo DS (launched in 2004) and GameCube (2001). Check the numbers of video game sold this year in Japan. Nintendo DS is the winner.

Nintendo next generation system co-named, Revolution, tentative to launch in November 2006, it will be cheaper than next generation (360 and PS3). Retail Price? Sub $200, compare to 360 ($400) and PS3 ($400-$600). Nintendo does not need the raw power like PS3 and Xbox 360 spent the money to build powerful their machine. Nintendo is focusing the game play and innovate over power. Satoru Iwata said that.

Nintendo admitted the Revolution controller is the most expensive to produce because of gyroscope sensors.

It's going to be interesting to see how Nintendo is trying climb back to king of the video game market in next few years since last time Super Nintendo era (1994) if Nintendo and third-party games deliver.

UPDATE 4/28/2006: X-Box360 is losing $388 million dollars for their new system sold.
