Western Pennsylvania Health Information for Deaf, Deafblind and Hard-of-Hearing website launched in evening of May 27, 2009.

The website address is: www.healthbridges.info.

The description:

A newly developed website seeking to provide reliable health care information to people who are Deaf, Deafblind and hard-of-hearing, in a format that is accessible to all. In addition, it is our desire to encourage effective communication between healthcare providers and patients by educating both about individual perspectives, rights, and obligations in the healthcare setting.

All of you know who I am writing in very blog here, I developed healthbridges.info site with a team of our deaf task force in Pittsburgh. The site is 100% powered by WordPress, web publishing platform, to ease my development work in my spare time.

I learned something new in my web environment which I never thought of: Deafblind. My priority goal is to have this website is 100% accessibility. I used the free evaluation web tool, WAVE - Web Accessibility Evaluation Tool to track down the accessibility errors and fix in our web site to ensure this is full accessibility for all - especially Deafblind.

I am very grateful to have my learning experience with group of deaf task force, shared the feedback, discussions, and challenges.

After the restaurant. Jerry at Laura's place.

Jerry: So I really had a good time.

Laura: Yeah, me too.

Jerry: So you want to go to the party on Friday night?

Laura: Yeah.

Jerry: All right, we're taking a car service. So we'll swing by and pick you up. How about six? (Laura looks offended). Six is good. (Laura looks offended and angry). You got a problem with six? (Laura opens the door and gets out). What? What?

(Commercial)

......

At Jerry's apartment.

Jerry: See I was saying "six" but she thought I was saying "sex". We straightened the whole thing out though.

George: She confused "six" with "sex"?

Jerry: Yeah.

George: Well if she can't tell "six" from "sex" then how is she going to lip read from across the room?

Jerry: Well "six" and "sex" are close.

George: It's two completely different sounds. "ih" and "eh".

Jerry: Eh.

George: It seems like a problem.

Jerry: Well I'm not dating any other deaf women.

Should I date hearing woman? Depends on hearing woman understanding in Deaf culture and communication in America Sign Language.

I remember back in late 1990s when I discovered the 8-bit Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) on emulators and illegal ROM games, became craze in Internet.

Until yesterday, my friend shared with me, to check out the gaming site: vNES or Virtual NES, that allows playing any 8-bit Nintendo games (including homebrew and unreleased games) on web browser without needing to download into local hard drive.

The only real requirement to play those 8-bit games is that you need Java 1.5.0 or higher to play on the computer.

The only interesting part in my mind about vNES, can this emulator be played on Internet Browser over gaming platforms I own: Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DSi and PlayStation3? I bought my time to take some experiment to try this out if it is compatible with browser platform. I selected the vNES game page, Super Mario Bros 3 to try:

Wii: Internet Channel
Developed by Opera Software, I just discovered that Opera does not support Java package. The screenshot would look like on my 42-inch LCD HDTV:

The screenshot displayed: "Because of a lack of the Java Standard Edition environment, vNES is not currently supported on the Nintendo Wii."

Source: Wikipedia - Wii Internet Channel
Wikipedia - Opera Browser

Nintendo DSi Browser (Titled: Opera Browser)
Another one for Opera Software, I tried to get into selected game to play, and I get the whole black screen on web browser with nothing in there:

PlayStation 3 Internet Browser
Built by Netfront (a microbrowser for embedded devices) and developed by Access Co. Ltd. of Japan, I get the same whole black screen as DSi.

Source: Wikipedia - Netfront

Conclusion
All three gaming platforms with Internet web browser application does not support Java 1.5.0 package which is required to run and play Virtual NES games, it is sad to see that I am unable to play NES on web browser-based emulator on gaming systems.

Been avid Flickr user since 2004, I just discovered that my few photos made into Flickr's Explore page. I like to call it interestingness.

Flickr gave us the definition of the interestingness:

There are lots of elements that make something 'interesting' (or not) on Flickr. Where the clickthroughs are coming from; who comments on it and when; who marks it as a favorite; its tags and many more things which are constantly changing. Interestingness changes over time, as more and more fantastic content and stories are added to Flickr.

As of March 11, 2009, out of 1,540 photos posted in my Flickr, I had nine explored pictures, six are currently in and three were dropped.

The tools can be found in Scout: Find your photographs in Flickr's Explore to take a quick look to find if your Flickr photos are explored'.

Holmes game-winning is memorable and awesome. James Harrison 100-yard interception touchdown return is far and the most unique play I ever seen in my lifetime in Steeler glory.

Incredible. I can't recount how much this play describle. An unbelievable play that many will say changed the course of the Super Bowl.

With less than 20 seconds left in the 2nd quarter on the Cardinals goal line, just moments away from the scoring, James Harrison intercepted Kurt Warner's pass and runs from the goal line to the next for a 100 yard touchdown. A new Super Bowl record for longest yard. Later in the game, the play resulted the Steelers won the Super Bowl.

Here are the essay of greatest play, via Mondesishouse.com:

Phenomenal. Pittsburgh Post Gazette declares the name of play, 'Immaculate Interception'. Similar the word of play came from NFL greatest play in history, Immaculate Reception.

LBP is a puzzle platformer (aka Mario & Sonic for basic jump 'n run) and user generated content video game.

The game includes online and offline story mode (single player or cooperative players), share community levels to play the creator's game levels in the game network across the globe.

Inspired by Flickr Group Pool: My Day, Yesterday, I created the day-long video of my routine single day on October 31, 2008 - Halloween Day holiday. Excluding the day before the video recorded, I was extremely busy around with my time and do not have enough time to edit the video a day after. Finally, I posted this on site a week later.

I posted the 3-minute video into my Facebook for friends-only to view the video. Lastly, I uploaded the same video into YouTube for public viewing.

I went back to re-edit the video, cut down to 90 seconds (that's 1 minute, 30 sec) per Flickr length-time video policy, for your pleasure quality viewing.

I posted this video clip, "Hitler Ultimate Downfall: Sign Language" on my YouTube and posted in my blog entry in March 2008. Sometime in <s>May</s> July 2008, I discovered that YouTube quietly removed this video clip due to a copyright claim by Constantin Film Produktion. Constantin Film Produktion is movie production company in Germany.

According to YouTomb, There are several dozen lists of 'Downfall' parody video clips removed in YouTube, requested by Constantin Film Produktion. It's no good chance for me to post another same videoclip in my YouTube account, and am afraid that my account could be suspend because of copyright infringement.

I decided to move same video clip on different video sharing site, blip.tv and hopefully it will not happen again.

Fast forward to today, The users are coming back for Hitler's parody video clips can be found in YouTube search results page. I couldn't find any blogs and news sites related to this YouTube removed I kept wondering why my first video clip still banned in my YouTube account.

Enjoy my "Hitler Ultimate Downfall: Sign Language" video clip I posted in Blip.TV:

This picture above is me and Charles the StarKist Tuna were taken in my Blackberry Curve 8330 camera. I decided to upload this image directly into my Facebook and my Flickr from my Blackberry Curve.
