Seven Deaf Mothers... and 2007 Six Babies

I couldn't resist this photo, whose six deaf mothers have a baby each born in same year of 2007 (most of them are hearing babies) in the Deaf event of Fifth Annual Pig Roast Bash event at Coopers Lake Campground in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania in weekend of September 7-9.

This image is black and white, looks and feels like this memory last forever over color, which I compared the best.

I feel like I am much into photography, this is just my pastime hobby to upload some of precious photos on my web and Flickr made my life passion to photos and everyone around Deaf culture of Western Pennsylvanian know who I am - I am much more than a photographer.

Inspired by Tate Tullier, freelancer Deaf photographer, posted countless dozens of photos on his blog. I couldn't help myself to look back in there to influence myself what I can do with unlimited and freedom around the shooting.

How precious two younger girls are? Riley (on left), the father of the Deaf and Olivia (right) is CODA (Hearing Child of Deaf Adults) took smiles in the front of my camera at End of Summer Picnic in South Park (this is real park, NOT television show) hosted by Pittsburgh Association of the Deaf (PAD) and Greater Pittsburgh Community Center for the Deaf for their support women's softball fund on Sunday, August 26 2007.

This event is for Deaf people including friends, relatives and Hearing peeps. They chatted, played including ladder golf, poker, softball, involved into kids activities, and cook-out BBQ foods for lunch and dinner. Everyone can't escape the boredom.

I volunteered doing this simple and easy way to take photos at picnic event; enjoyed my time being photography myself. I took 206 photos taken directly from my digital camera, reduced to 148 photos (rest out of 206 are tossed due poor photos) and uploaded into PAD Flickr account. Due to PAD rules, the members were told not to post the photos in the front of alcoholic drinks (Don't ask me why), I have found six photos exposed to alcoholic drinks and decided to mark this as private photo to hidden in PAD Flickr account.

Pittsburgh Street Portraits

I have seen those same people of their faces on street in downtown Pittsburgh every time I go work during morning / evening / lunch rush hour.

I am amazed to find Craig's project: Pittsburgh Street Portraits in his Flickr collection. Each picture touches the person's characteristics. It kept me coming back to see this site whenever I recognize the live person on Pittsburgh streets.

Sexual Preferences

As you have seen or heard the most common words such as unisexual, bisexual, and homosexual. I just found there are more than sexual preferences or terminology I could find from blog friends:

Unisexual - relating to, or restricted to one sex. A male or female but not hermaphroditic

Bisexual – relation to, both sexes. Having both male or female reproductive organs; hermaphroditic. Or, having a sexual orientation to persons of either sex.

Homosexual – relating to, or having a sexual orientation to persons of the same sex. Indeed, the words are gay and lesbian.

Heterosexual – sexually oriented to persons of the opposite sex. Relating to different sexes.

Metrosexual - An urban male with a strong aesthetic sense who spends a great deal of time and money on his appearance and lifestyle.

Retrosexual - man with an undeveloped aesthetic sense who spends as little time and money as possible on his appearance and lifestyle.

Pomosexual – A person who shuns labels such as heterosexual and homosexual that define individuals by their sexual preferences.

Parasexual – relating to, being reproduction that results in recombination of genes from different individuals but does not involve meiosis and formation of a zygote by fertilization as in sexual reproduction.

Pansexual - relating to, having, or open to sexual activity of many kinds.

Intersexual – existing or occurring between the sexes. Having both male and female characteristics, including in varying degrees reproductive organs, secondary sexual characteristics, and sexual behavior, as a result of an abnormality of the sex chromosomes.

Some of the new term of words does not appear in dictionary.

Can I be a US President?

What are the requirements to become President?

The United States Constitution outlines the requirements for President in Article 2. This article of the U.S. Constitution also outlines the many powers of the President and Executive branch of government.

Section 5 of Article 2 of the U.S. Constitution states that a President must:

be a natural born citizen of the United States

be at least 35 years old

have lived in the U.S. for at least 14 years

In addition, the 22nd Amendment to the U.S. Constitution states that a President may not serve more than 2 terms of 4 years each, even if they have only served as President for 2 or more years of one of those terms.

Hmm, there is a chance to become a president one in a billion. I could be a deaf president. Women, Black, Asian, Arbain President. How do you feel that way?

Corazon

When a stranger girl sent the message to me in via Yahoo Messenger, and I absolutely have no idea who she was, and I was like, “who are you?” She even allowed me to see her on the web cam, and I see her:

I felt left out from her, and I start slowly chatting with her, because she doesn’t look very good in English, and I asked her, “Where are you from?” She said Philippines, and this surprised me. Right now, the time is past midnight at my home in Eastern Time, I asked her what time is in Philippines, and she said 11 a.m. in the morning. I could see the daylight in background, eerie shiny green walls and strange looking door shaped like oval. We chatted a little while, and I got her name, “Corazon.”
