iPhone launches

the guy purchased 2 iPhones

My friend and I decide to go Apple store for last minute today, we left the work earlier today at 4pm from downtown Pittsburgh, drove down to Shadyside, scouting around Apple store and curiously to see how big the lines quere are. I flicked some photos, and we enjoyed watching the media, iPhone fans and Mac staff. Am surprised that I hardly see any iPolice around here. It must be good community!

I am not going to buy Apple iPhone for now because it is darn expensive, and I rather wait in months or years to see how good this device is....

UPDATE (6/31/2007): I have played iPhone for 30 minutes, and this is one of little mean machine.. it's totally RAD! I caught some of the errors here. Apple, iPhone is having a problem! I can't login in Google Gmail with this Safari web browser. Thank god, it's version 1, and is it 100% beta version?

Top Ten Reasons why I am not getting iPhone this year:
10. Why should I need iTunes music and voice phone. I'm damn deaf!
9. Can't replace the battery? Is that a feature?
8. I can see my fingerprints myself on iPhone!
7. I’m afraid of dropping something worth more than my TV tube set.
6. When will Google start relationship with Apple over Microsoft?
5. Hello?!? I can't speak, but I can sign.
4. I got big, fat thumb to type. Will get used to it when I am with women.
3. Do I really need to give AT&T any more of my money? *Knock on the wood*
2. I'd rather find a sponsor for it (and the plan like text), instead.
1. One word: iPhoney.

And I still like Apple, one of greatest user interface design.

Meme Dashboard Widgets

An almost year ago, I posted an entry about Konfabulator, the widget hanging on the desktop. Good thing I only used this for 30-day trial and did not pay in full. Until Mac OS X Tiger 10.4 released along with new Dashboard Widgets, and I am happy with this: fast, free and more customize than Konfabulator. You can take a look the captions on each widget in my Flickr.

There are over 650 Dashboard widgets found in Apple website, and every week the widget is getting cooler than I can imagine.

Cool iLap

Last November, I got Apple Powerbook G4 during the winter season begins, and I am comfortable using this laptop on my lap when I lay on my bed, and it has become my common habit to use laptop on my bed before I go bed at nighttime.

During the longer time using Powerbook, its laptop underneath is getting hotter and hotter, the temperature gets between 110 F to 125 F degrees. My lap feels very warm from my laptop during cold winter season.

Now fast forwarded to spring season and soon-to-be summer season this year, the weather become warm and I am not getting any shiver myself anymore. The laptop is still hot (when using long periods of time) and it gave me uncomfortable to control my temperature in my body. I might get sweat on my lap easily. I decide to do something to put underneath on my laptop to keep me cool.

I googled the website and found the site, Rain Design, Inc. iLap. It seems very interested for me to purchase this accessory, and I have no comment about this. I ordered this accessory via online, and this package arrived here two days later. I tried iLap under my PowerBook, and tried this on my bed, and I felt much more than comfortable - no question about this.

Tiger OS X

I got Tiger. I installed Tiger on my Powerbook. I have eaten up my time to play around with Tiger. Tiger is Mac OS X 10.4 major improvements of the operating system right after Cheetah (10.0), Puma (10.1), Jaguar (10.2), and Panther (10.3). There are so cool application features such as Spotlight, Dashboard, Safari RSS, Automator and over 200+ new applications features that take me several weeks to learn it all. I don't want to eat my time to write the review here, so instead here, I found the deepest review article I ever seen.

More interesting enough for me into Apple, turn it over the History of Apple, contains several photos of every Apple hardware from 1976 original Apple I to today's 2005 Mac mini.

Now, I had a strange dream last night what I have in year of 2008 for Apple: Mac OS X Liger 10.8 operating system comes with PowerBook G8. Why 8?

Bite me, Apple

2508506749550373.jpgSome of my friends asked me if I got Apple Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger. I wish I could have it right now, but the day is very busy - I am having a moving day for a whole weekend. Also, I will be going Rochester, New York to get Tiger for better deal. Don't ask me. Anyway, Here are two odd story about Apple lawsuits:

Tiger Direct Attacks Tiger - Lawsuit is a lawsuit. That's dumb. Tiger Direct claims that Apple's marketing campaign amounts to trademark infringement and unfair trade practices. It could be more crazy and crazier if they sue Kellogs Frosted Flakes and Exxon Tiger.

Apple sue Think Secret
- Apple sue Think Secret for solicited information about unreleased Apple products (that's Mini Mac) who violated their confidentiality agreements with Apple by providing details that were later posted on the Internet. That's even dumber. Steve Jobs is doing his job.

What's next? I don't think Apple will sue Microsoft for Longhorn to borrow the interface from Tiger.

Found via Flickr, the Transparent Screens is a photoset of mostly Powerbook G4 laptops whose deptop wallpaper has been set to a digital photo of the walls, devices and windows behind them. Impressive.

Note: this picture and laptop does not belong to me.

Caring Keyboard

Today I went to Flickr website, surf into Flickr groups: Deaf. There are seven members (including me two times) in Deaf Flickr group. I went to every members pages and saw every pictures. Also there's something I would like to show you I found via here:

The picture looks cute! The cat, Lulu is laying on Apple 15 inch Powerbook G4 and watching the monitor. How charming! Also, I knew quickly something in my mind that something is wrong with the picture, can you figure it out?

Short answer: Powerbook keyboard could become problem in long term while it's not caring.

However, let me tell you a story about my history of keyboard: I am typing on my very keyboard (I do not know what the brand name of keyboard is: I do believe its third party. I have been using this since 1998, one time it was spilled over Mountain Dew pop can during my first year at RIT in 2000. I was pissed off about that and cleaned the keyboard outside. During the summer 2002 that time I found that there are something distrusting inside between the button keys, so I decided to take all off the keys (including num keys) and it was totally distrusting that I can see: lots of hair, crumbs and dust. I cleaned by using Q-Tip and alcoholic to clean it all white. (You might see the clean on left QWERTY keys and non-clean on right num keys.)

Now Forward to today and I now have Powerbook G4. I remember during my college times in RIT, my friend and I discussed about security and caring the Powerbook G4 keeps like new and longevity, he showed me the neat item: iSkin ProTouch PB. I tried this, and surprising, it feels different and somewhat comfortable by using this iSkin item on PowerBook. I ordered this for $19.99 last December 2004, and I never had problems by typing on QWERTY keys on Powerbook G4 today. I'm very happy with this for caring Powerbook.

It's good as it gets. Now, my PC keyboard is almost 8 seven years old, and should I have time to clean it again inside keyboard? Argh, no way! I'm going to retire this for good sometime this year or next year, and forwarding to purchase wireless keyboard because I love my most comfortable Wireless Intellimouse Explorer since x-mas 2003.

Dear Mac user: Get the Quicksilver, the best OS X application software tool I ever had. Thanks to mamamusings for word of mouth in blog to provide her pictures about this application in her blog entry.
