Look outside; it's snowing in my local area... a rare white Thanksgiving day.

Today I am going to my dad's house for big thanksgiving feast with brothers, step-brothers and their kids. Asked to bring surprise side dishes or dessert, I made Stuffed Dressing, borrowed the receipt from deaf family in Detroit, Michigan. It contains chopped breakfast sausage, cooked onions/celery, white bread break apart, pour with chicken flavor sauce, mix it together in glass pan, and bake in the oven with 400 F until bread turns light golden brown on the top. Very delicious.

I am thankful for having long day off from my work today.

Can't help myself to look AOL Instant Messenger away message from my buddy lists:

Treat Me Like a Fool

As you remember my two entries (#10) and (#372) in past two years, and right now, this entry is no joke. Really. Because of, I ran out of my ideas for putting a joke in my blog.

Gmail turns one year old - 365 days ago, Gmail first opened a new e-mail on April 1st with free storage of one gigabyte and Google's announcement seems so bizarre that many assumed it was an April Fool's Day joke. Today, Gmail is bringing the double of the space of email storage. It's all true! In my Gmail, I'm currently using 22MB (2%) of my 1307 MB. That's over 1 GB! (No joke)

Top Ten April Fool's Day Hoaxes of All Time - Yup, this is the truth story of fool & pranks.

Turkey Aftermath

210?!? My normal weight was 195 from last week's weight check-in. That explains why I ate so much turkey yesterday. Today the day after Thanksgiving, I am going to do whole x-mas shopping for my family. Walk, line up, walk, carry heavy objects, walk, stand and walk. All of those I am doing for my x-mas shopping to keep me in shape, and I could bring my weight back to normal.

What did I ate Thanksgiving dinner yesterday? Last year's Thanksgiving feast is always same, except Pepsi for Coca Cola.

TGIBF: Thank God, It’s Black Friday, is very special day for business, at least it is non-holiday.

What I’m thankful for

Thanksgiving is approaching; here is the yearly list what I am thankful for:

Mellon Bank. Since I am hired in October 4th, it changed my life: 8-5 weekday basis, easy and safer transportation from home to work and work to home, healthy environment and easy to make new friends at work.

Alumni Association of WPSD. Since I scanned and posted whole WPSD yearbooks in their web site last summer, WPSD took big attention and turned me into spotlight. They warmly welcome me to go WPSD anytime to access whatever & whenever I want to go.

MSM Productions. Few weeks ago, I joined to help with web project for deaf.com, deafchat.com, and list goes on. With my problem-solving answers from all of their ‘top 20’ questions & problems, they amazed how I can handle the problem-solving, they gave me one of biggest treat of the year: PowerBook G4.

DPHH Pittsburgh. Everybody in Pittsburgh saying I am famous, because of being as photography freak. Speaking of digital camera: Shoot, Download, and Publish on web site for priceless. I get big credit from Deaf people come and introduce me.

My family. I’m thankful for my family who raised all of my life, I had been very patient and had a struggling lives through education and job for years and years. Now I accomplished them. Next target: Raise my own self.

Now, I will be ready to eat turkey that my family is making, and hope I don't get choke from their legs!

Bad Columbus Day?

Today is my day off from work at Mellon Financial Corporation, because of holiday – observed of Columbus Day; most banks are almost always closed on this day, as are government offices. Public schools are not.

The official date for Columbus Day holiday is October 12th, the same day I born.

My friend commented me: do we need to get rid of Columbus Day? According to history, Indians discover America first. Vikings saw America way before Columbus. Columbus didn’t discover America but he found the New World here in 1492, and shouted back to Old World. Under influence of Columbus, the Europeans sailed and moved to America to build a new life – colony and act of genocide against Native Americans and pushed them away in America; bought new diseases (chicken pox, measles) against which Native Americans had no immunity.

Some people thinks Columbus Day is insult holiday in America. According to Wikipedia:

Some activists within the United States, particularly Native Americans, find the holiday offensive because they object to honoring a person who they see as opening the door to European colonization, the exploitation of native peoples and the slave trade. This has caused a persistent controversy between Native Americans and Italian-Americans. In response to this controversy, some communities, such as Berkeley, California have renamed the holiday to "Indigenous Peoples Day".
Well, are you proud to be Columbus Day in American holiday?

D'Oh! Mothers is Today!

I forgot what today is!   It's Mother's Day.   I bought a card to my mum, and decide to mail this to my mum.   I did.   But for now, I felt this is not enough for me to give my mum a special treat.   I called my mum to take out eat dinner tonight, and my mum said she is now cooking a diinner for her.   D'oh!   We are going to make a plan for rain check: I'm going to take her to go dinner next day.

Well, tomorrow will be post-Mother's Day.   I still had a heart inside my mother, she's very special to me.
