After the restaurant. Jerry at Laura's place.

Jerry: So I really had a good time.

Laura: Yeah, me too.

Jerry: So you want to go to the party on Friday night?

Laura: Yeah.

Jerry: All right, we're taking a car service. So we'll swing by and pick you up. How about six? (Laura looks offended). Six is good. (Laura looks offended and angry). You got a problem with six? (Laura opens the door and gets out). What? What?

......

At Jerry's apartment.

Jerry: See I was saying "six" but she thought I was saying "sex". We straightened the whole thing out though.

George: She confused "six" with "sex"?

Jerry: Yeah.

George: Well if she can't tell "six" from "sex" then how is she going to lip read from across the room?

Jerry: Well "six" and "sex" are close.

George: It's two completely different sounds. "ih" and "eh".

Jerry: Eh.

George: It seems like a problem.

Jerry: Well I'm not dating any other deaf women.

Should I date hearing woman? Depends on hearing woman understanding in Deaf culture and communication in America Sign Language.

Which one is the most fun to use?

Which one is the most fun to use?

Which do you choose one out of seven remotes? Five TV/cable remote, one videophone remote and one console gaming remote. Males could pick up Wii-mote and females have the rest.

Maybe or not, you will not able to watch Through Deaf Eyes on PBS through local programming. TV Guide does not list 'Through Deaf Eyes' in National Schedule Listings (across USA) because it only says "Local Programming" from 9pm-11pm (8pm-10pm, depends on time zones).

You need to go PBS website to enter your local zip code to find programmed at your local station. (e.g. mine in Pittsburgh: WQED and WQED-DT, WQED airs regular PBS cable network, and WQED-DT airs PBS-HD network.)

I just found out recently that my local hometown, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania will not shown 'Through Deaf Eyes' on basic and expanded cable. WQED-DT only show Through Deaf Eyes on HDTV channels. You need HDTV - High Definition TV, digital cable box to subscribe HD channels to watch the show.

Several deaf people across Western Pennsylvania THINKS that they will watch the show - I am going to alert the people that they will not able to watch the show if they don't have HDTV.

I am gladly that I have HDTV and package of HDTV channels through Comcast, then I am anticipating to watch the show dearly tonight!

UPDATE: (3/21/2007 1:30pm) Via ProudGeek, the excellent web interface browser, Couchville you can drag in all directions for channel and times for TV schedule list in your local area - to find 'Through Deaf Eyes' what channel you are on.

Holiday Party

Holiday Party deaf club established in 2002, one of biggest deaf event in Pennsylvania/West Virginia border. This event takes annually in second week of November before Thanksgiving and Christmas. There are more than 300 deaf attendances including mixed deaf, hard of hearing, orals, and one blind/deaf person. They came here for the biggest prize drawings (including over fifty grand prizes and door prizes, total $7,500).

Holiday Party places even years in West Virginia, and odd years in southwest Pennsylvania. Pittsburgh Association for the Deaf (PAD) Holiday Party hosted in Holiday Inn Washington, PA last Saturday, November 12th. Three hundred ninety-eight people attended, they enjoyed their time with meeting old/new friends, ate buffet, drinking, took pictures and DJ music.

Holiday Party chairperson and committee chose me to help with them for setting up the 3 way projectors and laptop, and built the slide show to change the winning ticket number. Also I bought the idea to have digital camera to take pictures and show in photo slide show projector in final few hours before closing. I asked few attendances that have own the digital camera for their permission to download all of their pictures taken only at Holiday Party into laptop, and show in projector. And finally, thanks to Holiday Inn's wi-fi free service, I can able to download all pictures into Flickr for one-click way, and it is free for everybody to view the Holiday Party memories.

Our committees of Holiday Party enjoyed their time at the event and there were no problems at all. They said they will come back in same position again in 2007.

Betts the Men of MAC

Have you heard The Betts Bro?   The brothers are deaf, MAC user, both are current students at RIT.   They made tons of portfolios (websites, logos, videos and icons).   Also, they produced the silent short videos.   I like MR.V, its ending is red-faced humorous.   Also, they have blog, and I do not think you might see this on Internet Explorer browser.

Simpsons Fever

ralph.jpg I am fan of The Simpsons since 1989.   I used google search engine to look the best website for Simpsons, I had a hard time and decision which are best, I couldn’t count, there are too many great sites for Simpsons. One day, I sneaked into Ralph Wiggum’s webpage, and I liked all of Ralph’s funny and stupid quotes from The Simpsons:
  • Even my boogers are spicy!
  • I dress myself!
  • I pick Ken Griffery Jr.!
  • Hi Lisa! We’re going to be in a pie!
  • I beat the smart kids!
  • So, do you like, stuff?
  • I found an moon rock in my nose!
  • Mrs. Krababbel and Principal Skinner were in the closet making babies and I saw one of the babies and then the baby looked at me.
  • I don’t have a red crayon. I ate it.
  • Maybe she drove to the moon!
  • When I grow up, I want to be just like you.
  • It’s funny, but not ha-ha funny!
  • It taste like Grandma!
  • I’m learnding
  • My cat’s breath smells like cat food!

  • One of my favorite Ralph's line that made me roll on floor laughing:
  • Me Fail English? That’s Unpossible!
