Take a look in the video above what my dad got for Christmas present. It's Innovage Jumbo Universal Remote that supports various TV/VCR/DVD/Satellite. In case of back-up plan, if the universal remote doesn't work on his television and satellite box, he can have this item returned with the receipt.
I always thought this is good Xmas humor for my dad, to produce the laughter of best medicine on his age. All of my relatives laughed what they seen. Wow, I didn't except that my dad really like this gift item. And, our relatives willing to enjoy the remote to use at dad's home.
We tried to experiment and make sure this remote works with his television, DVD/VCR combo box and satellite box through codes. One out of three doesn't support: Insignia DVD/VCR combo box.
By the anyway, I wish every one of you have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

You need to read the manual for step-by-step to have your remote control recognize the driver.
Otherwise, you might find the troubleshooting help in:
http://www.remotecentral.com/cgi-bin/mboard/rc-remote/thread.cgi?8427
Good luck!

I have manual and read it. Retrieve does not work as documented, but thanx to you got that right now.
In programming you select a device.
What device do I select for a combo dvd/vcr unit?
Tried scanning all codes with vcr selected - no joy.
Thanx for any info

Well, I have forgotten about this since last time we first set up in Christmas Day. When we tried to set up this in first day, I was struggling for first 30 minutes, tried to read the instruction manual carefully, and we managed it. I remember the remote control works with after tries of different of three-digits codes:
- TV
- Satellite
And according to list of codes for companies, it does not support:
- VCR/DVD combo
Good luck with this!

Thanx for info
By the way, found this remote apparently has more "smarts" than other general purpose units. I have an older TV and used search to find code. Works well with that code in TV selection. But CANNOT put that code in any other device. On other units the "device" is a tag with no intelligence attached. Not so on this baby!
