Last weekend of July 29-31, my family and I went to New Bern, North Carolina for my family relative funeral. It was sad mournful to see my 53-year-old cousin, she is now rest in peace. Also I met several relatives from my dad's aunt's side of family and I am very glad to see my aunt and cousins that I haven't seen them for many years. I took advantage to take pictures of them before I won't see them for another many years later. Few of my cousins asked me they would like to me to send the pictures of them, so I decided post into Flickr and send the invitation to them for easy way.
We stayed two different places of motel in Virginia, we visited my aunt's house in North Carolina and my step-aunt near Fredrick, Maryland.
Now, let's talk about my favorite topic - technology. I brought my Powerbook laptop for a trip with me, my first time in eight months. From having a worry the battery timing on my Powerbook, I bought Vector 95 Watt Pocket Power DC/AC Inverter for 35 dollars - this is only one small piece portable and it is very useful to plug the automobile from my laptop to get the battery charged. And, Pocket Power can do much more than one a time - it can be used for recharged pager/palm/cellphone and digital cameras/camcorders. I do not have to worry to buy separate DC/AC plug for individual devices as I have this for my Sidekick (I felt sucked that I wasted to have this long time ago.)
During two motels my dad chose the reasonable price to stay for one night in Motel 6 for 2 different places in Richmond, VA and Petersburg, VA. I am very glad that they offer the high-speed internet for free. Interesting, Richmond only have hard wired to connect, and Petersburg also have wireless internet with WEP encrypted on.
Overall, I had good time to spend with my relatives and trip to MD, VA and NC in two nights, three days trip, even under the sad circumstances.
