I attended DPHH - Pittsburgh in Shootz Cafe, I had great time there. I chatted with my Deaf folks, hearing friends, and University of Pittsburgh hearing students who attend American Sign Language (ASL) classes. One time, I am teasing the Univ of Pittsburgh student girl that I sign too fast and she asked me, "I missed, could you say again?" I signed to her: "Train go sorry".
In the case if you do not know what is "Train go sorry". The same question was asked by hearing girl, because I love to teach her the meaning of the ASL idiom in Deaf culture.
As we know there are several idioms from hearing community. As far I know there is the only one expression ASL idiom in Deaf community: "Train Go Sorry". It defines that the person not going to repeat what he/she said after asking them: "what did you say?" or "I missed what you said". "Train go sorry" is common as "Missed the boat", "Sorry, too late" or "The train has left the station".
Now, Anybody knows that there might be more than an idiom for ASL?
