Daveynin is my first screen name I created for AIM. Back in 1995 during my high school senior year, my dad bought our very first computer – 133 MHZ 16 MB RAM and 4 GB hard drive at my home. We can’t figure it out how to connect the network, so we called up the support service from store we bought a computer to come over our house. He helped to set up the modem on our computer, and connected AOL for first time. He asked us to create a new AOL screen name, I have no idea what it means. He suggested our last name: fulmer. He said that original screen name might be taken, he asked us to add something more than a letter after letters of fulmer. He added di too quick for no reason, and I said that was fine (usually I doesn’t care about that). That was final original screen name, 'fulmerdi'. I was too awkward and not understand with AOL screen name and their networking. Until time passes, I realized about what screen name means, since I went AOL chat room, meeting with strangers’ screen names. During the eve of New Year’s Day in 1997, I got expelled from AOL Terms of Services, because of harassing in chat room (I was so mischievous that time for teasing and insulting strangers in chat room) and I realized that I learned my lesson about this.
So in 1997 during my community college year, I just learned that AOL Instant Messenger is a free of charge to create a new screen name to own without having AOL email. I have been thinking for couple of hours to create my screen name. I chose daveynin. Beacause of, broken into two words, davey-nin. You can figure this out: davey is obviously to you. Nin stands for the first three letters of a word, NINtendo.
I have been using that screen name actively for 7 years and counting today. I doubt how long it will ever last for my lifetime. In total of seven years, I must have around over 20 screen names, most of them I have used for temporary and forgotten. Also, the two screen names are my most active today: I use daveynin for my home computer and another screen name is for my pager on road. I even have a back-up my favorite screen name, in case if daveynin is hacked. I wouldn’t worry about that. Here in my blog, daveynin’s thing remains unchanged.
That’s it. Daveynin is original to me.
