While I was working on WPSD Alumni Association website, the alumnus asked me to scan several history pictures of WPSD for their website; I used my HP PSC 2110 All-in-One to scan the pictures. The problem: I cannot scan the oversized items, which it could damage the pictures on scanner between upper sides of edges and closed lid.
I am trying to find a solution where I can find the scanner that can scan the oversize items. I found the solution: HP Scanjet 4670. This scanner is unique – vertical flatbed scanner. It stands vertically on the desk, two metal legs flip out to prop it up, but you can also fold the legs away in order to store the scanner or use it horizontally.

I proposal for that scanner to WPSD Alumni Association, and they approved, and bought it with me to use yesterday. I played around with new scanner, I really liked this lot. Is it worth? Yes and no.
The scanner is ideal for using the oversized gallery pictures for their education, business or organization. I can scan anyplace; I can scan the item face down or up. And even silly, I can scan on ceiling and walls. Also this scanner is totally innovative design and easy to set up and use.
Also, this scanner comes with four software programs. One out of four, the software is Panorama Maker 3, can merge several pictures from scanner into one. I wouldn’t worry myself to use Adobe Photoshop or Paintshop Pro, to make up my time.
The bad thing about the scanner, the USB & power cable wires is not long enough, and I must put the computer tower (or you call it desktop) to get close to the flatbed scanner. You might need a large table, and it can be more room for flatbed scanner to scan the items on the big table. I am lucky enough myself, I have big table with me.
I have read the online reviews from ZDNet, TechTV they gave negative feedback about HP Scanjet 4670. They said: poor quality reproduction (overexposed and grainy colors) and other best scanners such as Epson Perfection 1670 blew Scanjet 4670 out of the sky. I would be difficult for me to look an image; I scanned from an item because I am not elite knowledge of the scanner.
Well, I do like flatbed scanner, but I already own HP PSC 2110 All-in-one (scanner, copier and printer). I would like to see the wireless flatbed scanner with best quality reproduction and ease to use. I felt in my guts; it could happen in future.
