Shigeru Miyamoto

37.jpgNintendo.   I am loyalty of Nintendo since I got my first true video game console system back in Christmas 1987 from my mom.   I never forgot how I played Super Mario Bros 1, my first game and my first "completed" game.   Nintendo became my glory through ages and still currently today.   Since Nintendo grew up the highest quality of great games to current active GameCube such as Mario sequels, Super Mario, Kirby, and Legend of Zelda.   I am pleased to see Nintendo makes great games that I love, and I am wondering who created the greatest games?   The answer: Shigeru Miyamoto.

Shigeru Miyamoto is Steven Spielberg of video games.   Shigeru is considered to be one of the Gods of the video games and usually cited as the greatest game designer of all time in universe, no argument.   Shigeru residence in Koyto, Japan and currently the director and general manager of Nintendo Entertainment, Analysis and Development (EAD), in the corporate sector of Nintendo of Japan.

Miyamoto was an artist when he first hired as employed at Nintendo (then a toy company) in 1980, he was given a task of designing one of their first coin-op arcade game, Donkey Kong.   It became a huge success and the game's lead character, Mario (then a Jump Man) has become Nintendo's mascot, and kids recognized Nintendo's Mario more than Disney's Mickey Mouse.

sm64_mariofly.gifDonkey Kong was an extremely original and incredibly success across the globe in mid 1980s.   Out of three characters Miyamoto created for the game, Donkey Kong as himself, Mario (Jump Man), and Pauline (some people thinks she looks like Princess Peach).   Mario has found the most success, and since his debut in Donkey Kong, he has appeared in more than 100 games spanning over a dozen gaming platforms.

Miyamoto built a large stable of franchises for the company, most which are still active and very well-regarded.   In 1996-1998, Miyamoto launched the first true 3-D game, Super Mario 64 and Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for Nintendo 64, several editors and critics cited those games as: 'greatest video game of all time' and 'game of the century', just like Miyamoto's famous quote: "I wanted to make something very unique, something very different...."

If you are interested to find more information about Shigeru Miyamoto, you can find the best link here, with lists of games he produced the games.   Also, you might find everything more about Mario games.   Also, I had Mario around in my house in my gallery page.

I do believe whenever Miyamoto will pass away in the future, the number of Marios and Zeldas will continue to produce; for meet the highest quality needs and will always sell like hot cakes.   Nintendo still owns the copyrights of the mascots and games, and no one is going to turn them down.

"Video Games are bad for you? That's what they said about Rock 'N' Roll!" Shigeru Miyamoto, the legacy of video games.
