Luigi knows ASL Part Two

I recieved the e-mail message from Nintendo about Luigi:

Hi David,

Thank you for contacting Nintendo. It is great to hear that you have been enjoying Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour so much!

Having said this, though, we noticed your concern about one of Luigi's gestures in the game. You mentioned that it appears to be similar to a sign language symbol shown in the 1994 Random House Webster's American Sign Language Dictionary.

We can assure you that this similarity is purely coincidental and completely unintentional. Each of our games goes through a detailed review process to ensure that the content for each title is appropriate to its intended rating. A part of that process is looking for unintentional symbolism or content issues that may arise when the game is translated from one region to another. While we did not identify any such issues when the game was created, we are passing your comments to our engineers as a point of consideration for future software titles.

Thank you again for contacting Nintendo and for sharing your concerns with us.

Sincerely,
Nintendo of America
Christie Hamilton

Heh, No comment.
